Norlands hold successful benefit dinner for Inn Along the Way

On October 4th, Tim and Betsey Norland, owners of Pemaquid Point's famous Seagull Shop, hosted a wonderful evening of food and camaraderie to benefit Inn Along the Way's Chapman Farm project. The Seagull Shop's staff provided delicious meals for two separate seatings, and diners were entertained by local storytellers: Barbara Burt told of her family's connection to a small island in Muscongus Sound; Tracy Verney recounted some of her experiences fishing with her dad, Wally Leeman; and Chris Chapman, who grew up on Chapman Farm, kept everyone in stitches as they heard of her escapades with cows and cars. The Norlands donated the profits of the dinner and also very generously matched two-to-one all donations made to Inn Along the Way that night. When the evening had ended, Inn Along the Way had almost $50,000 to add to its funding, thanks to the Norlands and everyone who attended the dinners.
