(Previously submitted to Lincoln County News) By now you've probably read a few articles about Inn Along the Way, heard people talk about it, maybe you've even seen the sign. Let's delve a little more into the community planned for this Inn situated on the historic Chapman farm on Main Street in Damariscotta. There are five phases of development. Development is taking in place in order from Main Street back toward the woods that surround the property. Pre-construction began

Positive preliminary meeting
Inn Along the Way board members Tim Kimpton and Sherry Flint, accompanied by architect Rick Burt, met with Damariscotta town officials to talk over ideas that are being developed for the Chapman Farm property. Sherry, Rick, and Tim were pleased with the officials' preliminary response, which they will communicate to the rest of the masterplanning committee as it prepares to submit the plan for approval. The formal review will take place at April's Damariscotta planning board
